Shale Oil Natural Gas Production in the Rocky Mountains

Since the Jimmy Carter administration, some dimwit has come up with the idea of taking dirty oil out of rock and then refining it for commercial use. However, when you think about it, it must take more energy and money to take the oil out of the rock, than you get from the oil which is later produced. Additionally, shale oil production is an environmental disaster. Shale oil production typically involves strip mining and the destruction of the scenic Rocky Mountains. Now, I assert that since you can easily get Natural Gas out of underground coal seams by sinking a shaft down and then pumping out the Natural Gas, you should also be able to do this with a Shale Oil field. Instead of trying to remove and process the Shale Oil, the company should just sink a 12 inch wide shaft, down 100 feet or so, and then use exhaust fans or pumps to pump out Natural Gas which seeps out of the Shale Oil rock. Moreover, once the Natural Gas is produced, you can use a small amount of that Natural Gas to run the electricl generators which power the fans and pumps, for virtually no cost. Natural Gas Shale Oil production is a money maker, and is good for the environment and good for America.

Standard Definition Flat Screen Television is Good Business

Communist, command and control, centralized planning has forced High Definition (HD)Television down the throats of the American Consumer and American Business. It is probable that HD television causes brain damage and schizophrenia. There have been no mental health tests done on the effects of watching HD. No marketing surveys have been done regarding the popularity of HD, as such. The cost of a 32 diagonal HD television is approximately $1,800 when a HD/SD regular type television was selling for approximately $325. SD television (Standard Defintion) is what Americans really want. In fact, many Americans would like to watch Internet Television which would be free, like old broadcast televsion. With Computer Television the person at home can download a movie and store it to a Computer Hardrive and develop a nice home movie collection, where a favorite movie can be watched at any time. The screen for such a TV would just be a Large Standard Defintion Monitor without a tuner. The cost of such a TV Monitor is relatively low. HD is a dangerous product which must be replaced with SD television.

Two Cycle Oil Burning Engines Should be Illegal

Most engines are 4 Cycle engines where the engine oil is used by the engine seperately from the gasoline combustion part of the engine. However, with a 2 Cycle engine the oil is mixed with the gasoline and is burned as part of the combustion process. Two Cycle engines create a huge amount of unnecesary pollution. A 2 Cycle engine is like a car that burns oil which blows oil smoke out the exhaust pipe. Four cycle engines do not cost much more to produce that 2 Cycle engines and really have no mechanical advantage at all. Engine manufacturing companies should voluntarily switch from any 2 Cycle manufacturing they do to 4 Cycle production, and, Federal Regulations should be enacted by the Environmental Protection Agency to require the changeover with a 3 year grace period for the retooling. The 4 Cycle engine should be able to be produced to make a reasonble profit, just as much, or moreso, than the 2 Cycle. If this move is made, and if my new smoke stack scrubber design is used, and if my engine exhaust converter design is used, then there should be no concern at all in the United States with "Greenhouse Gas Emissions," and no Greenhouse Gas regulations will be needed.f

Save Money With a Backflow Shunt Breaker Electrical Outlet

Apparently, it is not widely known that when you have an office building or even a residential house, that the wire in your building acts as a "battery" which in certain circumstances will store a large amount of electricity. For example, in the evening in a residential house, most of the lights are on in your house, the furnace or air conditioner fan is on, the kitchen appliances are on, etc. In this situation, a large amount of electricity is in the electrical lines in your house. Then, everybody goes to bed, and most of the above appliances, etc., are shut off. At this point, there is a reverse flow in your electrical lines, such that a large amount of the electricity in the lines goes right out back through the electrical meter, and back onto the electrical grid. But, here is the problem, the electrical meters are designed only to work in one direction, that is, into your house and not the other way. Thus, your electricity is being donated by you free to the electrical company, twice a day, at least. To stop this from happening, the electrical meter into your house must work both in and out, forwards and backwards, and most current electrical meters do not. If, you cannot get a two way electrical meter installed, you can buy electrical outlets which have a breaker on them, with the red and black punch switches and an indicator green light to show if the electricity is live to the outlet, or if the breaker has been tripped. Such outlets also often have a backflow shunt which stops your electricity from flowing back onto the grid. This can save you a significant amount of money on your electric bill.

An Economical Alternate Smoke Stack Scrubber Design

Environmental Laws requires that smoke stack emission be limited. I have a smoke stack scrubber design that is economical and easy to construct. First, you cap the top of the smoke stack and then run a 2 foot wide diameter pipe out of the top of the smoke stack and run the pipe right back down into the burn process that produces the smoke, if it exists. At the top of the smoke stack you run a 2 inch pipe into a pan of water that has a foam rubber filter which is soaked with the water. Addititionally, if the industrial process producing the smoke or soot is not a burn process, then you build a closed burner which uses natural gas and pipe the smoke or soot into that burner. The burner could be used to supply heat or to run a steam turbine engine which could then generate electricity with an AC electrical generator turbine. The exhaust from the natural gas burn is then recycled into the burn chamber. Also, it may be possible to use the smoke or soot or chemicals in the natural gas fuel of an engine which can again drive a AC electrical generator turbine. Once again there can be a very small bleeder exhaust which can be filtered as described above.
